About Steve

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Play Therapist and former Marine. I am also the owner of Charter Oak Family Center, LLC. I want to provide a place where people could come, be treated compassionately and respectfully, and they would find a place of healing. I believe a therapeutic office should be a safe place to explore where you are, where you want to go, and develop ways to get there. I work with kids from 5 to 105. I work with people struggling with mental illness, suicidal urges, and people with trauma in their lives. I use the following approaches: CBT, DBT, Play Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy CPT, and an eclectic approach in order to match the service provided to the need of my client. I am also involved in the Connecticut Suicide Advisory Board (CTSAB), a Co-Chair of CTSAB’s Lived Experience Committee, a public speaker, trainer, and Adjunct Professor in the Social Work Department of the University of Saint Joseph’s.
