About Nicole
Hi! I'm Nicole, a clinical social work intern at Charter Oak Family Center, LLC, an Air Force veteran, and a graduate student at the University of Saint Joseph, where I also obtained my bachelor's degree in Social Work. I believe therapy should be a safe, supportive space where you can be yourself, explore your experiences, and grow into the person you want to become! I know that healing isn't always linear, and sometimes it can be messy. I am here to meet you exactly where you are in your mental health journey, sit with you through the uncomfortable and messy moments, and help you find your way forward without feeling like you have to figure it all out alone.
As a clinical intern, I have worked with teens, young adults, and adults from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds across public school and outpatient mental health settings. My experience includes supporting clients as they navigate emerging adulthood, adjust to academic and personal responsibilities, process grief and loss, and cope with stress, burnout, and emotional challenges associated with other difficult life transitions. My approach is tailored to you and rooted in strengths-based, person-centered, and trauma-informed practices. I incorporate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help you process your experiences, understand yourself on a deeper level, and find new ways to navigate challenges, build confidence, and make changes that align with you.
I would describe my therapeutic style as warm, non-judgmental, authentic, and supportive, where I value building genuine, collaborative therapeutic relationships where your voice is heard and your strengths are celebrated. I believe trauma does not define who you are, and your story deserves to be heard.
You are the main character in your own story, and my role is to support and empower you as you discover what healing and growth look like for you. Wherever you are in your journey, it would be an honor to walk alongside you!
