About Teresa

Hello! I am currently a graduate student at the University of Saint Joseph obtaining a Master of Social Work (MSW). I am completing my clinical internship at Charter Oak Family Center, LLC. I provide supportive, compassionate, and client-centered care under clinical supervision. I believe that therapy is a collaborative relationship where we will work together to explore your unique experiences and build on your strengths that will help you achieve your individual goals during the therapeutic process.

In my training, I have worked as a school social worker providing individual and group therapy to children ages Pre-K to 5th grade. My approach is grounded in evidence-informed practices, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed approaches. I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to explore their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and life experiences.

 

It is my goal to become a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and continue to provide quality services to children, adolescents, and adults. As an MSW intern, I am committed to continued learning and professional growth. I value building authentic therapeutic relationships and meeting clients where they are while helping them identify their strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and work toward meaningful change. I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy, and I am passionate about supporting clients through their journey to heal and reach their full potential.
